TURNING POINT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the heart of Los Angeles, California. Our center’s mission is to ensure that vulnerable populations within the city and county of Los Angeles—particularly low-income adults (18 and older), adolescents (12 – 17 years old), and individuals with developmental disabilities (12 and older)—reduce problems related to alcohol and/or other drug abuse problems.  

TURNING POINT, residential program, assist and prepare participants in—
re-establishing and developing functional life and family skills, self-awareness, community relationships, and sufficient job preparation—without the use of addictive substances.

Our board of directors and staff at TURNING POINT are fully committed 
to successfully reaching out to and serving the communities of Los Angeles in order 
to help meet their need for health, social, and recreational services, 
as well as, learning and growing in our 
own cultural competence as an organization.  

Helping Individuals Achieve a Healthy Road to Recovery
TURNING POINT will provide a positive and proactive approach based upon 
the principle of normalization. Each participant will have the opportunity to participate 
in services that provide them access to a variety of activities and services, 
which will adhere to their physical and psychological situations.

Our culturally competent and diverse Certified Addiction Specialists 
understand the social and personal impact of substance use, 
as well as, the importance of treating every person
with the utmost respect, dignity, understanding, and professionalism.

Because of our commitment to excellence, TURNING POINT provides 
a continuance of training, education, and information to our staff, 
for the community we serve. 

We empower participants to develop the skills and strengths needed 
to achieve and maintain a positive and independent lifestyle.
